Koray Gültekin Bahar, co-founder and board member of Figopara, took his first step into the world of entrepreneurship with his father, who was an entrepreneur on energy systems, during his student years at Eastern Mediterranean University computer engineering. He worked on projects related to mobile technologies and web tools. After graduating, he started working as a software developer at FIT Solutions in 2006. In this process, he founded his first company, Dotto. He worked on Microsoft platforms and mobile applications.

He sold his shares in Dotto in 2012 and returned to FIT Solutions as a partner in 2013. He then focused on Foriba, a software company working on regulation technologies. In his career, which he continued as the general manager and partner of Foriba, he managed the process of expanding the company from 35 people to 220 people, from 2 million dollars to 14 million dollars, from 30 customers to 15 thousand customers, and to expand into 8 countries. Revo Capital received investment from IFC (World Bank) and Endeavor Catalist in two investment rounds totaling $10 million. It made two companies (ISIS eTransformation, Guide) acquisitions. He managed the acquisition of Foriba, one of Turkey’s leading companies in the field of regulation technologies, by Sovos, the world’s leading tax technology company, in 2019.

The sale of Foriba to a company with foreign capital has been shown as one of the most important exits of recent times, in this period when the Turkish economy is going through a difficult period cyclically. After the sale of Foriba, Koray Gültekin Bahar directed Sovos’ Middle East and Asia strategy in his role as EMEA Strategy Vice President for a while.

He left Sovos Foriba at the end of January 2020 and focused on his previous venture, Figopara, a platform that helps companies manage their cash flow and working capital. Continuing to make angel investments to contribute to the entrepreneurship ecosystem at the same time, Bahar has been working as the General Manager at Figopara since February 2020.
